i have chosen a few examples of work from projects completed while studying for an architecture degree as well as private projects undertaken. 

the first (below and left) is the final design project for university study and is an exploration of inserting new layers of building into an existing urban fabric while retaining the memory of previous historical layers.  it deals with the idea of reuse, recycling and taking inspiration from the history and memory of site.  the richness and complexity stem from simple forms layered or placed over and next to other forms, some that have been inherited from the sites previous uses.  negative space between forms create a rich and engaging architectural fabric.
